2. Quick intro to initial Drama Room rules (via Ms. Browning Senior Drama Teacher - Department Head).

*No touching or playing with ANY props or costumes EVER unless directed.
*No entry to the audio/lighting mini room unless invited to do so by a teacher or TA.
*No entry to backrooms or upstairs area unless invited to do so by a teacher or TA.
*No sitting on couches (only on the floor please) until further notice.
*No phones EVER in the space.
*No filming or taking photos in the space unless invited to do so by a teacher or TA and with permission provided to you by the person you wish to film/take a photo of.
*The drama room is a safe space. We all must work to ensure it remains as such. Therefore all rules as noted above must be adhered to at all times.
2. Introduction Game: Michelle will introduce the intro game activity.
TP activity. All students to be in a circle on the drama room main floor - students to take between 1-5 pieces of toilet paper. Students will then say their name and depending on how many pieces of toilet paper they have - state between 1-5 interesting things about themselves to the group. E.g. interests, how many siblings, favourite hobbies etc.
3. Next Up: First drama activity - Group Work -
Split class into 2 or 3 groups (max group size should be between 7-8 students).
TASK: Students - you will be creating a 'machine' with your whole group. Each student in the group will be a PART of the machine.
One student can be the student to turn the machine on if your group would like and one student can be the end-product (at the end) which is created. End-product created can be anything you would like! No props to be used - just a student!
Each part of the machine (the students) should each have a motion and a sound that is created once the full machine is turned on.
Students should be given around 15-20 min to 'create' their machine. TA's please supervise and assist each group as required.
If Time - Each group to present their machine at the end of the class to the other students. If not enough time students can present their machine next class!
During performances/showings - This is where students CAN sit on the couches to view each group's performance!
